Four systems move the account forward. They do not replace each other.
| Goal | What actually advances it | What does not |
|---|---|---|
| First transformation | Finish It Came From Space | Buying a pass |
| More of the 15 aliens | Player level, plus DNA where a pass says so | Dungeon difficulty alone |
| Story bosses | Quests, act by act | Daily Charge |
| Repeatable combat rewards | Dungeon waves, boss, then the chest | The Launch Gift |
A practical order
- Finish Act 1 and the tutorial so the Launch Gift can open and Heatblast is in your wheel. The walkthrough is First Session.
- Keep the story quest tracked and keep earning XP. The description says all 15 aliens unlock as you level, each with its own moves and combos. The tutorial bar starts at 0/100 XP on LV 1. There is a separate OMNITRIX LV line. The game does not say they are the same meter.
- Clear the act boss when the quest leads you to it. Boss names are not published. The early fight that is written down is the five drones at camp, which is a quest objective, not described as a giant boss.
- Run dungeons only at a difficulty your group can finish through the boss. Easy and Insane are the two ends the update names. The names of the steps between them are not in that announcement. See Dungeon Runs.
- Log in for Daily Charge on days you play. The reward grows while the streak stays consistent. It asks for a login, not a dungeon clear.
When a pass is the shortcut
Use a pass when its text names a gate you do not want to play through.
- Way Big otherwise asks for level 33 and DNA.
- Humungousaur otherwise asks for level, DNA, or a challenge. The level number is not on the pass. The challenge still pays out if you buy the unlock.
- Double XP doubles XP and Omnitrix XP from everything and stacks with XP boosts.
- Double DNA doubles every DNA sample.
- Double Mastery doubles alien mastery gain.
Prices and the choice between them are in Game Passes. Cosmetic passes (hair color, watch styles, hoverboard skins, avatar, supporter tag) do not unlock aliens.
What is still unknown
Per-alien level requirements other than Way Big's level 33 are not published. Mastery costs, DNA sample sizes, and the exact Daily Charge payout table are not published. An in-game Codes window has shown an UPDATE INCOMING line. That line does not say which system will change, so do not hold DNA or mastery for a patch that has no contents yet.
